The waiting is killing me.

So, I am waiting, obviously.  Clark aka Jax Rabbit is somewhere in Texas.  He is headed this way
(FL) to come get me.  We are starting this new endeavor...travelling on a tractor trailer and exploring the US and a little bit of Canada.  I have emptied the place we were living, rented the house, sold the cars and motorcycles and emptied the quilting room (ahhhh!).  I quit my job (sniff, sniff) and reduced my personal belongings back to sea bag size.  That was the hardest thing to do when you have a hobbies like quilting, knitting and riding motorcycles.  I should be good at this by now, I did it 10 years ago when I joined the Navy.  Somehow, this time I had a much harder time and it took longer.  I have been working on getting this done since April.  I finally have an empty house and time on my hands.  So I'm waiting.

The funniest part about this whole thing has been the mixed response I have had from family and friends regarding our new direction.  The overwhelming majority think it is great and are not surprised that I would do this.  There are a few though that don't really get it and think it won't work out.  For those few, this blog will be the testament of whether it works or not.  There are also those that are very concerned over the bathroom facilities.  I assure you they make Depends for just such situations.  So by the time I need them, I will be very familiar with them. Kidding.

The children, Mattie and Angus, are with their grand parents, (thanks!) waiting to be allowed on the truck.  I feel sure they will be spoiled rotten in our absence.  Angus gets popcorn almost every night. No doubt Mattie is getting some equally grand spoiling.

So I wait.  My in-laws have been fantastic about spoiling me rotten too. We had ham and egg casserole in the little dishes and coconut creme for desert last night.  No doubt something else good will be had for dinner tonight.

I will post some pictures for you later and give you an update on Jax Rabbit's ETA.
